Our Carbon is manufactured from selected Coconut Shells and Wood Charcoal using steam/air activation technique. The shells are first carbonized and the carbonized material is fed in to rotary kiln & reaction with steam / air is carried at 800°C to 1000°. At this temperature the chemical reaction between Carbon and steam /air takes place at all internal surfaces of carbon, opening new pores and enlarging then so as to achieve high internal surface area. By strictly controlling raw material and process parameters surface area in the range of 650 to 1500 m2/gm is achieved.
